Hansbrough Signs Deal

The Pacers didn’t waste any time signing their first round draft pick. Tyler Hansbrough is one of the first to sign his rookie deal. NBA draft picks are much easier to sign, since they have contracts that are weighed to where they were drafted. If this was an NFL draft pick, it would be well into the pre-season until some ink their deals. Hansbrough was one of the first to sign and the others should start coming in very soon. Minnesota may have some trouble signing Ricky Rubio, but all of the other players are expected to sign.
A lot is expected of Hansbrough since he is the all-time leading scorer in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 2,872 points. A conference which has a history of producing big-time NBA stars. He is the only player in league history to earn First Team All-America and First Team All-ACC honors four times.
“Psycho T” has a great motor, can score, and grab rebound. Troy Murphy did a great job last year, but if he struggles this season, Hansbrough should be a nice addition.
Hansbrough is currently playing with the Pacers’ summer league team which is participating in the Orlando Pro Summer League through Friday. The Pacers have looked great in their first two games, in which they won both.
