Why Is Tyler Hansbrough Looking For A Lost Puppy?

You guys have probably seen this AT&T commercial that I am talking about. If you blinked, you may have missed Psycho T in the commercial. Here is the commercial and I just have one question….why is Tyler Hansbrough trying to find a lost puppy for a little girl on what looks like a college campus?
I don’t know when this commercial was made, but it doesn’t list his name and in the 30 second commercial, he’s in it for about 5 seconds. I am guessing that he got paid a pretty nice amount for this spot, but you think a guy could get some name recognition or maybe have him sport a Pacers jersey. It looks like he’s just some random college kid sitting at a diner with his friends and somehow texts his friends that happen to find a girl’s lost puppy. Is this some sort of deep intellectual symbolism to reflect today’s technological paradigm and the affect of it on today’s youth….or is it just a stupid commercial made to try to tug on people’s heart strings? You decide….here is the commercial.
