Game Preview: Indiana Pacers at Sacramento Kings

December 2nd, 2009 | by sweetbob |

The Pacers and Kings meet tonight at Arco Arena in Sacramento, California. Both of teams have young talent, but the Kings young point guard duo of Tyreke Evans and Beno Udrih make this an interesting game for the Pacers.

The Pacers (6-9) and King (8-8) both have uptempo offenses that will be fun to watch. The Pacers haven’t been able to close out games with some big collapses in the 2nd half of games. The Kings are an energy team with a little winning streak coming into this game. The Pacers will have to match their energy and tempo if they plan on coming out the winner in this contest. The matchup to watch is T.J. Ford on Tyreke Evans. Ford is an energy guy, but if he can win the perimeter game against Evans, the Pacers have a shot in this contest.

Probable starting lineup for the game: Sacramento

PG – Ben Urdrih, SG – Tyreke Evans, SF – Andres Nocioni, PF – Jason Thompson, C – Spencer Hawes

Probable starting lineup for the game: Indiana

PG – T.J. Ford, SG – Brandon Rush, SF – Danny Granger, PF – Troy Murphy, C – Jeff Foster

I think the Pacers will have trouble in this game matching the energy of the Kings offense. Both teams have issues on defense, so it will be a high-scoring affair. I believe a banged-up Danny Granger will come through and make this game close and win this game on the road. Indiana will win this game 110-108.
